Club Information
Dues are $15.00 per person or $20 per family per club year. More club information and membership forms are available at the Education table. Website: http://www.thsgardens.org
Exhibitors
- Entries will be received between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
- Local club members are asked to have their entries in by 9:00 a.m.
- Entries should be brought to the main entrance of the Mall on North Monroe Street.
- Work tables will be provided, but every effort should be made to complete entry tags before arriving, as space will be limited.
- The Classification Chairman will have checklist books available for exhibitors' and judges' use.
- If an exhibitor cannot stay until pickup time of 5:00 pm. and wishes to have ribbons/awards collected and mailed to him/her, arrangements can be made with the Show Chairman or education table volunteers and by providing a self-addressed and stamped manila envelope in advance.

General Show Rules
- Exhibition open to all daylily growers. Entries must have been grown, groomed, and entered by the exhibitor.
- Only AHS members are eligible to win AHS Rosettes and other society sponsored awards. However, they may be new members who join at the show.
- Entries will be received (acknowledged by the Classification Committee) between the hours of 8:00 AM. and 10:00 AM on May 27, 2007. Late entries arriving after 10:00 AM (acknowledged by Classification) may be entered FOR DISPLAY ONLY and will not be judged. No entry may be removed before 5:00 PM. Exhibits not removed at 5:00 PM. will be discarded. Not responsible for unclaimed awards or ribbons after 5:15 p.m.
- Uniform containers and official AHS entry tags will be furnished. All entry tags must be correctly labeled and properly completed. No labeling will be allowed in the show area. A work area will be provided.
- ONLY MEMBERS OF THE PLACEMENT COMMITTEE ARE PERMITTED TO PLACE ENTRIES IN THE DISPLAY AREA.
- Judging will begin at 10:30 AM. Only judges, clerks, and show officials will be allowed in the exhibit area during judging.
- Show officials and the Tallahassee Hemerocallis Society will use all precautions for protecting exhibits but neither they, the Tallahassee Mall Partners nor Jones Lang Lasalle will be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur.
Horticulture Rules
- All horticulture exhibits eligible for AHS Rosettes and medals must be entered on-scape.
- Registered cultivars are to be entered on scapes whose overall height does not exceed 36 inches.
- All seedlings (including pre-registered cultivars) shall be severed as near the base as possible regardless of height. A seedling having won the AHS Rosette at any other show is not eligible for exhibition.
- Entry tags, for seedlings, must be labeled with the word SEEDLING in the space for cultivar name. Names, numbers or any other identifying marks are not permitted on the visible portion of the folded tag.
- Eligibility for exhibitors in the Youth sections shall continue through the end of the calendar year following the youth’s eighteenth birthday.
- Cultivars listed on the official spider list must be exhibited in Section 6 only. They may not be placed in any other section unless it is a required unit for a collection.
- Cultivars whose names are not listed in the AHS check lists or supplements may not be exhibited in any Division, Section, Class, or Group where registered cultivars are specified.
- Popularity Poll cultivars must be exhibited only in Section 9.
- Unusual form cultivars, registered as such, must be entered in Section 7 and only those listed on the official Unusual Form list may be entered in Section 7.
Judging Standards for Accredited Shows
- All judging of an accredited show will employ AHS standards.
- All horticulture sections must be judged by AHS Exhibition Judges.
- Each panel of judges shall be the final authority for each section and group in which it judges. The only award which shall be judged by all panels is the Best In Show Award.
- Only Classification Chairman has the authority to disqualify any entry which is damaged or does not conform to the schedule.
- The appropriate AHS Scale of Points will be used for: (1) Registered cultivars on-scape; (2) Seedlings on-scape.
- The AHS Standard System of Awards will be used.
- All scapes receiving the AHS Rosettes or purple ribbons must score 95 or above by the AHS scale of points.
- Registered cultivars will be classified, as registered, by size, form and grouped alphabetically within each section. No distinction is to be made between the classification of diploids and tetraploids.
- Each registered cultivar shall constitute a name class. A single entry may be given an award if the judges consider it a superior exhibit. An exhibitor may have only one entry per name class.
- Each seedling or pre-registered cultivar shall constitute a class to be judged on individual merit. Each entry may be given an award if the judges consider it a superior exhibit.
- Division 1, Section 5. If purple ribbons are awarded in class A and class B, they must be point scored to determine a single winner since there is only one AHS Rosette for this Section.

The award will be given to the highest scoring entry of a pink double cultivar of any size. The check list description of the flower must include the word pink and the flower must be registered as a double. |
| Section 14: | R.W. MUNSON, JR. AWARD A patterned flower, one which is not a pure self such that the differences in some aspect of the flower's coloration (including hue or saturation) create the effect of a pattern or design within the flower. Award of $25 provided by Region 12. |

DIVISION II: EDUCATIONAL
Section 1. A display of materials available through membership in AHS.
AHS Standard System of Awards
Judging of each cultivar in each class shall be done by the American Hemerocallis Society Standard System of Awards.
- One First (Blue) which must score 90 or above
- One Second (Red) which must score 85 or above
- One Third (Yellow) which must score 80 or above.
For registered cultivars, only one blue, red, and yellow may be awarded in a given name class. For seedlings, each exhibit in the section is judged on its own merit and is thus an award-eligible class.
Major Awards
- The AHS Purple Ribbon Award is awarded to each blue ribbon winner scoring 95 points or above in Division I, Sections 1 -10.
- The AHS Rosette is awarded to the most outstanding Purple Ribbon winning entry in each of the Sections 1 - 10 of Division I. The most outstanding purple entry in each of the Sections will be selected by the panel(s) judging that section.
- AHS Best in Show Rosette is awarded to the best of the AHS Rosette winners in Division 1, Sections 1- 10. The Best in Show will be judged by all judges.
- The AHS Sweepstakes Rosette is awarded to the exhibitor winning the most blue ribbons in Division I, Sections 1-10. In the event of a tie, purple ribbons will be counted, then red, then yellow.
Special Awards
- The AHS Achievement Medal will be awarded to the originator of each collection of scapes in Division I, Section 11, which scores an average of 90 points or more, and which in the opinion of the Judges show adequate merit and distinctiveness as compared with existing cultivars. The cultivar must be a seedling or pre-registered (a pre-registered cultivar is considered a seedling). Entries must be entered by number, as assigned by the Classification Committee.
- The AHS Award of Appreciation may be given at the discretion of the local show committee, not the judges, to one or more non-competitive education exhibits in Division II to show appreciation for significant efforts.
- The Ophelia Taylor Horticultural Award is awarded to every collection in Division 1, Section 12 scoring 95 or more points per scape. (Pin awarded by AHS)
- The Edith Butler/Dot Ryan Award in Section 13 (local award) will be given to the highest scoring entry.
- The R. W. Munson, Jr. Award in Section 14 (Region 12 award) will be given to the highest scoring entry which has a score of 90 or above.
