President Sharon Agosta called the meeting to order at 2:04. She welcomed everyone back for the new year and hoped that everyone had had a good summer. She thanked the Greens and the Agostas for today's delicious refreshments. New member H. W. Weste was recognized and welcomed as were visitors Barbara and Glen Doran from Tallahassee and George and Leslie Dyal from Crawfordville.

Secretary Linda Henderson reported that minutes from the May meeting would not be read as they related solely to preparations for our May show.

Vice President Kim Green gave the treasury report since Treasurer Jill Mercer is out of the country. Our current balance is $6103.79.

OLD BUSINESS
Sharon Agosta gave a report on the May Daylily Show. Probably because of the cool nights in late May there were 347 scapes entered in the show which is a very good showing. The plant sale brought in $3571. Sharon thanked everyone who worked so long and hard in preparing the plants - washing, tagging, etc. - the Friday before the show. Joe Agosta presented several ideas to expedite the plant preparation. One is to purchase a labeler that can print multiple tags and thus save time. Another idea is to use time during the April meeting to prepare the tags and wires.

Sharon Agosta gave an update on the Region 12 Fall Meeting which will be held Oct. 14 from 8:00 - 3:00 at the Holiday Inn on North Monroe at I-10. There will be a silent auction on a great selection of plants from 8:00 - 12:00. Cindy & Randy Flemingare in charge of this event. Anyone who is planning on attending and has not sent in their registration is asked to give it to Linda Henderson at today's meeting.

Kim Green is in charge of hospitality and asked everyone to sign up to bring refreshments to a meeting this year.

Sharon Agosta distributed and reviewed this year's budget. This year the AHS door prize plants will come from the Trimmers' garden. Several questions were discussed and answered. The budget was passed unanimously. The calendar of events was distributed to everyone present. Sharon pointed out that there will not be a speaker at the October meeting as it will be the week after the Regional Meeting. Club members will be presenting their own slide show and sharing information. Please get with Joe Agosta if you are interested in presenting slides. Members were reminded to check the sheet that was being passed around to verify their information.

NEW BUSINESS
2007 Flower Show still needs a Show Chair. Please let Sharon know if you are interested.

AHS will donate 50 Years of Daylilies to local public libraries with the payment of $2.50 for postage by local clubs. Club members agreed to purchase several of these books.

Eurekas will be purchased through the club once at least 10 orders are received. A sheet was circulated to sign up for this book.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:31 with the next meeting scheduled for Oct. 22, 2006 at 2:00.

A wonderful slide show presentation of present and future introductions followed by guest speakers Tim and Katisue Harrington from Harrington Daylily Gardens in Dublin, GA,

Linda Henderson, Secretary
